A photograph of the Kenyan writer Ngugi Wa Thiong'o published first in the Swiss daily newspaper Le Temps (April 16, 2022) and then in the French daily newspaper Le Monde (April 29, 2022).


The french publishing house Vents d'ailleurs released in april Rêver en temps de guerre, the first volume of his autobiography.


The photograph was taken in Stockholm in 2017 during Ngugi Wa Thiong'o last visit.

The book A Country for Dying (Un pays pour mourir) is published in french at Éditions du Seuil (Paris, 2015), and in Swedish (Ett land att dö i) by Elisabeth Grate Förlag (Stockholm, 2016) in a translation by Håkan Lindquist and Davy Prieur.
