The Icelandic writer Jón Kalman Stefánsson received the French Prix Jean Monnet de Littérature Européenne for his novel Ton absence n'est que ténèbres (Grasset, 2022), in a translation of Eric Boury.


He received earlier this year the "Prix du Livre étranger 2022 France Inter / Le Point" for the same novel.



Jón Kalman Stefánsson is represented in the book "Portraits d'Auteurs / Author Portraits" (Carlssons, 2020).

Samanta Schweblin's book Seven empty houses (Penguin Random House) got the National Book Awards 2022 for Translated Literature into Spanish. The translation is made by Megan McDowell.


Megan McDowell has translated books by many contemporary South American and Spanish authors.



Samanta Schweblin is an Argentine Spanish-language author, living in Berlin.

The French publishing house Allary Éditions released this month the part 6 of L’Arabe du futur, a graphic memoir by the french cartoonist Riad Sattouf.



Allary Éditions publient ce mois-ci le sixième volume de L’Arabe du futur de l’auteur de bandes dessinées Riad Sattouf.













The photographs of Riad Sattouf were taken in Stockholm in 2017 during his last visit.
